Elm Lodge

The property was really lovely, nice and clean, and had everything we needed. The extra touches such as slippers, chocolate was really appreciated. The shower was great and beds comfortable. A lovely seating area outside aswell, with plenty of space for the children and dog to play.

I don’t have anything I didn’t like.

Overall the lodge was very nice and well equipped for our stay. The large garden area around the lodge was a major asset for our grand daughter to play safely. We were able to cook very easily in the generous kitchen area with out door BBQ also available. We liked the ability to eat on the patio table or inside using the dining table. The shower was very good and beds very comfortable. Although we didn't use them the EV chargers are a great idea.

As it is a 10 minute drive to local Aldi would have been nice for a small fresh milk to be put in fridge for arrival instead of the long life sachets to make a cuppa while settling in! The oven, BBQ and some areas in the toilet/shower were not as clean as we would have liked but not a major issue as we sorted it out ourselves.

A lovely, peaceful location handy for our trip to Alton Towers. The private garden areas for each lodge were great, our boys enjoyed having a kick about at the end of the day. The lodge was well equipped and comfortable and the provided BBQ was great.

Unfortunately the property wasn't particularly clean. Lots of hair and dust in corners of rooms and along the tops of plug sockets. The towel rail in the bathroom was thick with dust and the shower trap was filthy and clogged with previous guests hair.

It was so clean and the garden is amazing for the dogs
