Bolgheri Countryhouse

Location is the best part of this property. It's big with lots of place outside that is completely fenced (for a good reason). We went with the whole family and dogs and everybody was happy. It's quiet, next to that gorgeous city center. Each bedroom has its dedicated bathroom and AC that makes it very convenient.

All facilities need renewal or a replacement. Things like dishwasher, fridge, sinks, toilets or taps are clean but show their age quite a bit. There is no washing machine. The main living room is practically unusable during hot summer, since it has no AC and the big front terrace door is closed shut, due to the problems with floodings. The property clearly needs a serious drainage system to redirect overflowing water during rain. We had one for a day, and even with closed door the water was on the living room floor. During our stay between August and September there are many wild boars roaming outside the property. One night we spotted around 20 running in the bushes on terrain below. They never crossed the fence but be aware that they are there. We missed at least a small pool, just to cool off during hottest hours, but this is not any dealbreaker.

AIR CONDITIONING!! The air conditioners in the bedrooms were fantastic. LOCATION- the location was perfect and had lots of parking space. COMFORTABLE BEDS- sleeping in air conditioned rooms in comfortable beds was wonderful. OUTDOOR TABLE- the table under the pergola was perfect for coffee and lunches. Very Italian.

The property needs serious basic maintenance. Small things that did not make a good first impression.

Beautiful house, big rooms, comfy bed and lovely garden. Just a couple minutes walk from the village, so great location too. Complimentary water and soda was available in the fridge, plus a bottle of red wine.

Not a lot of storage (two rooms have wardrobes, but two have nothing), info brochure was not very helpful, could do with mosquito nets at the windows/door as there is a lot of insects.

The house was clean. The location offers privacy, is surrounded by nature, and lets you sleep well because it is very quiet. It is possible to park your car next to the property. It seems like a safe accommodation. The property was clean. The owner was available via WhatsApp. Good for kids.

Owner not present. The internet is very weak or not working. TV did not work. Some of the furniture is damaged. The water pressure in one of the bathrooms did not work. The front patio door was locked. The automatic opening system did not work. You need to remove your garbage on your own. Village difficult to access. High price for what you get.
