La Croix Douillet

The remote location was perfect for our needs. The enclosed garden was great for our dogs.

C’est calme, très bien équipé et aménagé terrasse au soleil :)

- großes Grundstück mit viel Platz und Garten zum Spielen und Entspannen - Grill war vorhanden und konnte genutzt werden - Sehr liebevolle und hübsche Gestaltung des Hauses - ein netter Willkommensgruß stand bei Anreise auf dem Tisch, vielen Dank! - nette und unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit den Besitzern - individuelle An- und Abreise möglich, Schlüsselbox vorhanden, Code wurde im Vorfeld mitgeteilt

- ein großer Topf zum Kochen hat gefehlt und die Pfanne war leider nicht mehr benutzbar, weil sich die Tefalbeschichtung ablöst, daher Kochen nur eingeschränkt möglich, war aber nicht schlimm, weil man grillen konnte :)

We really enjoyed our recent stay at La Croix Douillet. The house was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities needed for a short break. The covered seating area in the garden was the perfect spot to relax in the evenings with a glass of wine and it was really well sheltered, so still felt perfectly cosy even when the weather took a turn for the worse. Although the house itself is in a very peaceful and rural setting, the town centre of Gavray is only a 15 minute walk away. The town has a small supermarket, a few restaurants, two boulangeries and a couple of takeaway restaurants. We both felt that the location was ideal for exploring the sights of Normandy with Rennes, Caen and Mont St Michel all just over an hour away by car. Wendy and Philip were very helpful and friendly hosts and the welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch!
