Location was good Garden and downstairs layout Well equipped kitchen

Would have liked ensuite master bedroom

The property was in a great location and had everything you needed including a fully stocked kitchen. The welcome basket was a lovely gesture and appreciated.

The cleanliness wasn’t a 10, more of a 7. Also, there is a very barky dog who lives next door and barks a lot inside and outside!

St Elmo's is in an fantastic location - just a short walk to the pier and beach at Southwold, and also the centre of town. The house was a perfect size for a party of 4 with a good size lounge and dining area and a well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived and overall the property is very cosy.

With the exception of the kitchen area, the house decor feels very dated and could do with a refresh. The bedrooms in particular are quite stark and the mattresses are incredibly thin - not the most comfortable to lie on. The hot water in the bathroom was also very temperamental, with hot, then cold, showers the norm, and on the last day there was no hot water at all. There was also no spare toilet paper in the house - luckily I brought a spare roll with me. Compared to other properties that we have stayed at within the town, at a similar price point, this wasn't the best value for money.
