La Regina di Spaccanapoli

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The location in the historic centre was perfect. Despite being just a short walk from some of Naples’ busiest streets, the area itself felt surprisingly peaceful and local – almost like a little hidden neighbourhood in the middle of the city. We absolutely loved it. The apartment had everything we could have wished for and more. From the balcony, where we enjoyed our breakfast in the mornings, to the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom, everything made us feel comfortable and at home. We also have to mention the unlimited air conditioning – an enormous plus during the hot days, and something we definitely made good use of! What truly made this stay stand out from all the other places we stayed during our holiday, however, was Gennaro and his friend. From before we even arrived, they were incredibly helpful with travel advice, recommendations and things to see and do in Naples. When we arrived, we were welcomed by two energetic, warm and genuinely caring hosts who clearly wanted to make sure we had the best possible stay. Their hospitality played a huge part in making our time in Naples as memorable as it was, and they deserve a very special thank you from us. There is honestly nothing negative we can say about our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would happily stay here again.

Tutto corrisponde a quanto descritto online. L'alloggio è comodo per 4 persone, quindi per me che  viaggiavo da sola era una reggia, pulita, in ottima posizione con tutti i confort, anche doppia TV, una in sala/cucina  e una in camera da letto. Associandomi a quanto già scritto dagli altri ospiti, posso aggiungere che quando oltre il danaro c'è la passione, la voglia di fare bene il proprio lavoro, il piacere nel coccolare chi viene da te e potrebbe scegliere altro, tutto questo fa la differenza. L'host, nonché Gennaro, fa la differenza, non solo per i servizi che offre ai suoi ospiti, ma anche con piccoli gesti e attenzioni ai dettagli. Tutto bene oltre le mie aspettative!

This was my second stay in Gennaro’s mother’s lovely apartment, and once again it truly felt like being at home. Everything was just as wonderful as before. Before my arrival, Gennaro had already turned on the air conditioning and stocked the fridge with water and juice, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming gesture, and I really appreciated it. On my last evening, Gennaro and Gianluca invited me for an aperitivo and surprised me with a beautiful gift. We had such a wonderful evening together. They are friends, not just hosts! Communication with Gennaro is always easy—you’ll receive quick replies to any questions you have. The apartment has everything you could wish for, is spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed is very comfortable, and there’s also a washing machine, although I personally haven’t needed to use it. I especially love the balcony overlooking Spaccanapoli. For first-time visitors staying in Naples’ historic centre, it’s worth mentioning that you will hear noise from the street (that’s Naples!), but it doesn’t bother me at all. The apartment even provides earplugs if you need them. The location is excellent for exploring Naples. The metro and funicular are both nearby, and many attractions are within easy walking distance. The wonderful Quartieri Spagnoli, my favourite area, is almost just around the corner. I’m sure I’ll stay with Gennaro again many more times. I just hope the next visit comes soon. I honestly loved everything, but if I had to mention one small downside, it would be that the hairdryer could be a bit more powerful. That’s a very minor detail compared to everything else, though. 😊

Location is right in the middle of the historic (touristic) centre. From here you can walk most places you’d want to visit, also the metro is close. The apartment is an Italian work of art. It’s super clean, there is a queen size bed and a small balcony to enjoy the busy street below. Gennaro is the most helpful host I’ve ever experienced while traveling. Napoli is an amazing city to visit and I would highly recommend to stay at La Regina di Spaccanapoli.

The lack of electrical outlets next to the bed for the charging of your phone. It does get quite noisy at night, despite the isolated windows. Earplugs are provided. (On the other hand: the Oak bar around the corner is worth visiting - if you enjoy good wine and craft beer).
