Charmante maison néo-bretonne

This is a charming and very personal country house rather than a typical holiday rental. It feels like a real home, with books, photographs throughout the house, which gives it a warm and authentic atmosphere. The house is surrounded mainly by fields and countryside, so the setting is generally peaceful and relaxing. It is also very well located as a base for exploring Brittany, and we found it convenient for visiting many different places in the region. The house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, with practically everything we needed during our stay. We also really appreciated the owner's efforts to make the house energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into reducing energy consumption and making the property more sustainable. Our host was very kind and welcoming. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed staying here.

There are a few things worth knowing in advance. There is also a working farm nearby with some cattles. This naturally comes with some occasional noise and agricultural smells. Of course we understood that this is part of staying in the countryside and didn't disturbe so much. The main inconvenience for us was the lack of bed linen and towels. (Having used Booking.com for many years and stayed in numerous apartments and holiday homes, we had never previously encountered a property where bed linen and towels were not provided.) To be fair, these items were not listed among the amenities provided. Fortunatelly we were reminded about this by the host before arrival, but as we had already been travelling in France for a week, we had to buy them locally.

Une maison très confortable, beaucoup d’espace pour les animaux

Le calme des environs. La nuit, il n'y a pratiquement pas de lumière dans les environs et c'est du coup très agréable de voir le ciel étoilé. La proximité avec Dinan et d'autres villes sont un atout. La propriétaire est aussi très réactive et répondait rapidement à nos questions et nos soucis.

Dommage qu'il n'y a pas de barrière tout autour de la maison, je suis obligée de sortir le chien en laisse plutôt que de le laisser courir partout dans le jardin.
