Hosts were lovely, place was clean, parking was great. Lovely rural walks near by.

Everything that you would need for a short stay is included at the property. Clean and airy.

Upstairs is a bit musty. It was possibly more noticeable because the weather was so hot. Could use a bin upstairs as well.

Location, near major towns we wanted to visit. Quiet neighbourhood. Good WiFi. Tom the owner was friendly and respectable man. Since I retired from the university, I travel a lot and use booking.com in most of my travels. This house has great potential, but it definitely needs more care.

It seems the house was not cleaned from the previous occupiers. The pillow cases of the extra pillows in the wardrobe were very dirty, they smelled and had human dribble on them. The sheets were dark grey so it was not easy to tell if they were washed. There were dead flies and wasps on the window sills, under the table in the living room and inside the light shades. The rug was dirty and we had to vacuum the whole house. The bedroom carpet had serious burns and the wardrobe was broken from the side. There was no hairdryer, and when asked for one, they did not offer one. Every property should have a hairdryer. There was no stove.
