Apartment Mediteran Dubrovnik

Absolutely wonderful property with the best people for hosts !! We are a large family of seven & there was plenty of room. The property felt very homely & beds were extremely comfortable. The hosts were simply amazing couldn’t be anymore welcoming & helpful . Even took us to the supermarket on our first evening ! The property was also full of little essentials which again I thought was very kind & helpful . The hosts were at the end of the phone for any advice needed & we just couldn’t fault anything. Danka is so lovely & Jerko such a gentleman. The view from the large balcony is lovely overlooks the sea & the harbour . Only downside although we were aware & fully prepared is the apartment is on a large steep hill . There is a short cut though & really doesn’t take long . Most of the apartments in Dubrovnik are the same & also when you go out sightseeing seeing you can’t avoid the hills , so this is part & parcel of this country . And this would not put us off coming back to stay here , we used ubers which are extremely reasonable & also our hosts recommend a taxi driver with an eight seater vehicle so all was well & manageable. And I must point out we only needed these for my elderly mother’s use on occasion , as the rest of the family managed the hill fine. There is a lovely pizza & grill restaurant at the bottom & to the right along the main road . They were very welcoming , the food was great & very reasonable. We ate here a few times & also down at the harbour which was beautiful of an evening . There is also bar that serves burgers at the far end of the harbour & these were awesome so were the cocktails . There are lots of options for dining & all close by. The bus network was very easy & frequent to use & the stop is literally at the bottom of the hill .

The host treatment and the apartment was really really nice. The kitchen was equiped with everything we needed, including soap to wash the dishes, for the washing machine, or even some butter, honey and jam. There was coffee, tea, sugar, all the things that should be on any rental house and usually are not.

There was a couple of things that could be better, as locks in the toilets and some doors didn't work properly, but they are just tiny faults

Para llegar hay que dar mucha vuelta

La terraza y las vistas al mar son muy bonitas. Por la noche es una zona muy tranquila para descansar. La casa está bien y es amplia aunque parte del mobiliario es antiguo. La cocina totalmente equipada y como llegamos casi de noche nos dejaron pan de molde, leche, mantequilla y mermelada para el desayuno del día siguiente, y el último día nos despidieron con una botella de vino local ( todo un detallazo). El chico que nos recibió super amable y dispuesto a ayudar.

Es un poco complicado llegar a la casa. La carretera es estrecha y si te cruzas con otro coche es un problema. Bajar a la playa es fácil y tardas menos de 10 minutos, pero para subir es todo cuesta arriba y escalones.Las duchas están anticuadas.
