Dos Playa Eco Beach Resort Daracoton Island

As much as we would like to gatekeep the little paradise we discovered, it will be doing Dos Playa a disservice as we enjoyed our stay so much. The property was amazing- definitely the highlight of our stay. It gave us the opportunity to disconnect with the digital world and take life slow even for the short stay we had. The staff were VERY professional and friendly. Kuya Allen’s cooking became our standards all through out the trip. Ate Grace and Ate Che were very attentive to the guests’ needs. Tito William was fun offering us fresh coconut off the tree. Mathew was fun to talk to. Tita Rose was an amazing hostess . There was a time I caught the flue due to fatigue and constant movement from place to place during the holiday and they all made sure to offer me medicine to bounce back quicker. They really did go way and beyond what was expected of them crossing the fine line between being guests to almost being part of their family. I personally appreciated that so much. The people made us feel we were “home”. And Nikka my darling Nikka was such a fun companion- just be ready to play football with her! We will see you again

Wonderful food, incredible location, gorgeous views. Staff bent over backwards to make our stay amazing.

There was a corporate retreat booked at the same time. They were quite noisy and ruined the overall vibe but the staff/owners did their best to manage it. Perhaps not a good idea to book a large group when you have other guests.

Everything perfect… staff, food, cleaning… We will come back🙏

The island itself is beautiful and the staff you deal with on a daily basis are very nice. There is a nice dog and cat also

What I wish I knew before booking: The beach itself is not a swimming beach. So if you’re thinking of easy fun swimming. This isn’t it. There were some nice corals that sadly were destroyed by the typhoon. The food is pretty bad, breakfast is decent and free but dinners with the exception of one night where there was fresh fish were bad. There is no atmosphere, or comfortable places to sit and really relax on the grounds. Each morning I woke up to a hand reaching into my hut to adjust a curtain. No clue why. Also in the showers on the other side is their staff area and there is a window and curtain in the shower. I noticed a mirror here and that seemed very odd. If the curtain was placed in a way you could see into the shower. A 5 min walk on the other side is Dryft. They have a beautiful swimming beach, waves with a breeze, atmosphere and delicious food for roughly the same price. Also nicer bathrooms without privacy issues. I left 2 days early. The owners should probably spend some time at the 2 other reports and get a sense of the competition. They were nice people but once you see the other spaces and attention to detail, food, beach. The choice is pretty clear. Lastly as there are no real waves from a beach, there is almost no wind. It’s extremely hot compared to Dryft where you have a constant sea breeze.
