Greenlake Hidden Oasis

Location is close to PCC for groceries, cafes and restaurants, and public transportation. The home felt safe and quiet. It was clean and tidy. I liked the layout of the house, spacious bathroom, laundry machines and the laundry tablets were helpful. I appreciated the abundance of towels. The throw blanket on the couch was a cozy touch. The temperature inside stayed nice. It felt like a heater went on periodically in the evenings which I liked. The instructions on how to access the key at check in was easy to follow. The full size coffee maker and the airfryer were great to have on hand. I think if salt and pepper was added to the pantry to use on take out or cooking, the kitchen set up would be near perfect.

I didn't mind when I found out that the entrance was behind the house, however I didn't expect the door to the unit to be a sliding glass "backdoor" with no deadbolt. The key locked/unlocked the door, you could see the lever move from inside (from inside you move that up and down to lock unlock such as a side or backdoor). I didn't like that the sheer curtains didn't cover the entire sliding door, so in my perspective and my comfort was it lacked privacy since the door is huge glass and at night with the lights on inside someone could see through the curtains. There was back house (detached garage? Another unit?) back there so I didn't know if others would access that back area but it seemed reasonable for someone from the main house to. While I might have appreciated knowing about the sliding door entrance and lack of deadbolt in the description, perhaps this isn't unusual and it's just my preference. A solution to the privacy concern might be a darker and wider curtain layer. Contacting the location using the # for wifi and television challenges seemed like I was texting with an AI bot which felt impersonal. The location was managed by Vacasa on behalf of the owner. They finally advised that the owner of the rental would contact me to help. Two hours later I received a missed call from a different # while I was busy. We played phone tag but never connected and my issue was not resolved during my 2- night stay The TV not being reliable was a real bummer for me, as I was in town for down time and that amenity was something important to my stay. A solution could be for the unit owner to utilize text to get in contact with guests to arrange service rather than calling, and in retrospect I realize this is something I could have tried too. I think the distance between me and a person who could help was a little too far for my liking.

Location was perfect for us, near the University and we both loved being near Green Lake. The property was clean and ready for guests, had a nice patio area outside. Coffee machine with grinds/filters was available. Bus stop is about 5-8m walk away, light rail about 12-15m walk away.

Great property and location. Perfect for my husband, myself and my son. We stayed three nights and had all the amenities we needed. The washer/dryer were a BIG plus! The close walk to/around Green Lake was absolutely wonderful. No major issues. Enjoyed our stay and visit with our daughter and son-in-law in Seattle.

Our only complaint was the bed. Not very comfortable and a little tight for my husband and I. The bed frame also made a creaking noise every time we moved around. A bigger more comfortable bed would have made for a good night sleep. Also wanted to point out that there is a large mirror in the living area that is propped up on a niche in the wall/not secured. Is an accident waiting to happen.

Отличное расположение. Тихий район. 5 минут ходьбы до магазина PCC. До озера тоже минут 5-7, не больше. Несмотря на то, что апартаменты расположены в бейсменте (цокольный этаж), в них очень тихо. Соседей сверху было почти не слышно. Есть стиральная и сушильная машина. Нам с двумя детьми, один из которых грудной, было очень удобно. В апартах отсутствовал чайник и почти не было кострюль. Обратились в Vacasa, они оперативно скинули наш номер местному персоналу, Sydney буквально за 2 часа вечером пятницы принесла нам и ковшик, и кострюлю, и чайник. Уточнила, как нам удобнее, и оставила всю посуду у двери. Решение вопроса на 10 баллов из 10. Доступ в дом возможен с детской коляской, у нас с этим проблем не возникло. Затруднения могут быть только на подходе к дому (там дорожка частично грунтовая) и при преодолении порога. Но инвалид в коляске вряд ли сам сможет попасть в дом, имейте это ввиду при бронировании. Сортировка мусора. Респкт Сиэтлу! Цена крайне приятная по сравнению с другим жильём района.

Уборка. В счет при бронировании включена уборка за $150. При этом при заезде можно найти клубы пыли под кроватью. Или — как во второй наш заезд — грязные носки прошлых жильцов за очистителем воздуха. Холодно. Были в январе-феврале. Пол холодный и не прогревается. Два электрических вентилятора сушат воздух. И согревают только воздух. При этом пол остается холодным. Простудились почти все, пока приспособились ходить по дому в летней обуви. Для жизни в апартах зимой нужна обувь на толстой подошве. Отопление не предусмотрено. Есть в потолке решетки, из которых дует теплый воздух. Но настройками отопления управлять нельзя, а температура выставлена ровно настолько, чтобы дом не промерзал в морозы. Муравьи. Они мелкие, рыжие, гуляют на кухне как у себя дома. Нас особо не смущали, но для кого-то это может быть критично. Бытовые мелочи. Тут экономят на капсулах для посудомойки (их 4), шампунях (один крохотный), пакетах для мусора (доступно два) и прочих бытовых вещах. Vacasa об этом честно пишет в приветственных сообщениях, но это доставляет ненужные хлопоты, если приезжать больше, чем на пару дней. Набор посуды скудноват, но для короткого пребывания вполне достаточен.
