Torggata Oslo Apartments

Convenient location a short walk from station and tram stop; lots of facilities nearby.

For a self catering rental the kitchen was minimally equipped - only one cereal bowl, nothing to use in oven; no coffee machine (ok, we boiled coffee in pan swedish style). Linen threadbare.

de locatie is superleuk, middenin een leuke en levendige wijk. het cafe waar het hostel boven zit, serveert een goede maaltijd voor een redelijke prijs

in de gang zat een grote schimmelplek op het plafond, je kon de schimmel goed ruiken

It was easy to collect keys from ‘cafe Sara’ which is actually a Pub. Room was spacious enough. Access to washing machine was useful. Room mostly clean.

Bar staff were not able to assist with questions about room upon key collection. Room was on the fourth floor with no elevator. Challenging for two young people to carry suitcases but would be a nightmare for seniors. The room had no toilet paper or clothesline initially. This was resolved after 20 minutes. Booked a room with a dishwasher - there was none. Room said it featured a ‘patio’, but there was only a very small, shared outside area for smokers which was not welcoming or clean. TV did not work the whole time of stay. Owner claimed he would come back with batteries for remote to attempt to resolve issue night 1 but he never returned. I messaged him directly twice and he never responded. When I checked out keys, he claims ‘someone was suppose to fix it’. It was evidently a lie. Room central but location did not seem overly safe (not fault of apartment owners). Would be vigilant at night.
