The Annexe at Riverside Cottage

Absolutely idyllic location, waking up to a babbling brook with such a variety of wildlife from deer roaming freely to woodpeckers and Kingfishers. Such a beautiful spot in a quiet wooded valley so nice to relax on the patio in these surroundings. Perfectly appointed house with both bedrooms having balconies in a cosy cottage. All the essential kitchen equipment and more with complimentary items. Great host, excellent communication and help when needed We will definitely return as such a great location and base for seeing beautiful South Devon.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Lovely cottage,clean, spacious with everything you could need. Host was warm and welcoming.

The lane to get to it was scary in places.

We have stayed in over 100 places in the last 12 years, but Riverside Cottage has left us withthe happiest memories.Total tranquility, an infinity of birdsong, and the stream in the background. The hosts, Jo and Mark, radiated welcome, helpfulness and generosity. Mark built the whole property ,which is extremely comfortable and homely. Jo seemed never to stop working, keeping everything immaculate. The double bed,incidentally, was like sleeping on air! Another thing-the plumbing was brilliant, with super- hot water arriving instantly. We were really sorry to leave.

We had a great time, an excellent and charming place in the middle of nature. The hostess took great care of us — it’s definitely worth going.
