We stayed four nights as a family of five, with two rooms. The location is unbeatable, the staff were friendly, and everything was clean and well maintained. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and we really appreciated the free hot coffee and self-serve hot chocolate available all day in the lobby — a nice touch, especially in winter.
The only downsides were that breakfast was a bit disappointing, likely due to the holiday peak (Dec 28–Jan 1) with crowds and limited options, and the parking fee of $29 per night plus tax.
Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay, and we would gladly return.

Recently did the Spartan Race in Big Bear. The hotel was in walking distance (~15 min) from Big Bear Mountain Resort. Hotel was clean, plenty of lounge space, breakfast was good, and staff were friendly and offered tips of where to eat. Its also less than 10 min drive from just about anything to do in town. Definitely will book again when visiting.
