A relaxing getaway at the “Green Volcano.” The Hotel Spatzennest has 18 beds and is located on the outskirts of Herbstein with a view of the countryside. The two bungalows, set in the beautiful garden, have been converted into four modern, comfortable apartments, some of which are wheelchair accessible. The main building houses two additional apartments. There’s also the cozy, converted barn—the “FreiRaum”—which can be used for meetings, conferences, seminars, or celebrations, as well as the guest lounge—all lovingly furnished. Stroll through the natural, flower-filled garden, discover impressive rock formations, try out the barefoot trail, or enjoy the peace and quiet and the chirping of birds on the lawn under the old trees. For cozy get-togethers, an outdoor swivel grill or the covered Finnish KOTA grill are available. Of course, you can securely store your e-bikes in the lockable bike garage or charge your electric cars. Explore the many biking and hiking trails right on your doorstep, enjoy the thermal waters of the Vulkantherme, unwind, and let your mind wander.

The main building was completely renovated in 2016 and lovingly furnished. The spacious room features modern furnishings and two very comfortable 90 x 200 cm box-spring beds (extra bed available), which can be placed together or apart upon request. A large rainforest shower in the room and a private, locked restroom are, of course, included. The view overlooks meadows and fields. Wi-Fi, a kettle, a bottle of mineral water, as well as coffee (Caffissimo capsule machine) and tea are provided free of charge. A small minibar is also available, which can be used as a mini-refrigerator if needed. A delicious breakfast can be booked as an add-on upon request. This comfortable double room is located on the first floor of the main building. Directly across from it is a spacious guest lounge, which guests are welcome to use free of charge. Of course, guests are also welcome to enjoy the stunning garden of the kleinHOTEL complex.
