About this apartment rental
The apartment itself consists of a kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom with a double bed, and a living room with a dining area and a sleeper sofa for one additional person. All rooms are connected via a hallway. The bathroom was completely renovated at the end of 2025. The kitchen, which was also newly installed at the end of 2025, is equipped with a refrigerator, a stove with an oven, a microwave, and a dishwasher. The living room features a TV that is operated via a Fire TV Stick. This allows access to the ARD and ZDF media libraries. Additionally, guests can log in with their streaming accounts for Netflix and other services.
A terrace with seating, accessible from the living room and bedroom, is available for shared use. Skis and bicycles can also be stored in a locked, weather-protected area as needed. A parking space assigned to the apartment rounds out the package.
Lanzenhain has a restaurant that’s a 5-minute walk away and is open on weekends. Herbstein, with its various shopping and dining options as well as its thermal baths featuring Hesse’s highest-altitude healing spring, is a 5-minute drive away. You can also start bike tours along the Vulkanradweg from there. The Hoherodskopf is about a 10-minute drive away and can alternatively be reached on foot or by bike (about 45 minutes) via forest trails. Downhill slopes and cross-country ski trails are available there during the winter months, while in the summer, you can enjoy the hiking trails and the summer toboggan run.
The nearest larger cities, Lauterbach (15 minutes) and Fulda (35 minutes), are also easily accessible by car.
The vacation rental is ideal for two people, but a third person can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room if needed.
