This property has everything you need for your stay, it was well equipped inside and out, it was clean and comfortable. It even had a small ice counter ice maker! Also loved my 8pm hot tub with my sister in law every evening, watching the sunset. The only drawback is that if you have a boat to be aware of is that this lake is spring fed, which means the water level is up in the spring and goes down with the summer season, so by August we unfortunately could not use the boat launch to get our boat to the dock. So we had to trailer our boat daily to other lakes. So,,, I have made a contact to a local marina to rent a transient slip for our time spent if we return next year. We also had a few cool nights with sleeping downstairs we needed some warmth and the owner was gracious enough to trust us with instructions on the fireplace,, which we thank you … if this property is available we will certainly be back!

Property was not condusive to my husband's mobility issues, he is 87 and I am 76. Although the interior of the cottage was extermely well appointed, the exterior terrain, although beautifil to look at, had mobility issues for my husband to get to the water. No guard rails to hold onto to get down to the dock and the incline was rather steep. In addition, the lake bottom (Maple Lake) is all vegetation, more suited for boating and swimming, plus there was no ladder to get out of the water onto the dock, which was very problematic. We only stayed for 3 days and not the full week. This was a first time rental for the property by the owner. I want to encourage the owners to make some of my recommended improvements, and I am sure over time future cottagers will love to rent this cottage, as I believe it has all the bells and whistles for a young family.
