About this house rental

Located in the Historic Garden District of downtown Coeur d'Alene, this charming 1960's boutique home is a quiet and private home base from which to explore the nearby resort town, mountains, and lakes. With 2 bright and airy bedrooms, each featuring a queen bed, this cozy retreat is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Just a few blocks from downtown bars, restaurants, and shops. A fifteen-minute walk, or less than a mile drive, to Sanders and other beaches on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Minutes from Tubbs Hill Natural Area. Experience the magic of Coeur d'Alene from this centrally located home.

The bungalow is light, airy, and open with light decor. Original hardwood floors (yes a bit creaky) create a natural warmth. Design elements include natural wooden window frames, solid real wood floors, green vintage laminate on the kitchen floor, an arched passageway to the living room, some stucco walls, built-in closets and drawers (that don't all close perfectly), and solid wood maple kitchen cabinets displaying excellent craftsmanship. This home is not recommended for guests looking for brand-new or modern features.

The property is on a large corner lot with ample street parking as well as a private parking pad. that holds one car. The street parking will work well for trailers, campers, and vehicles towing boats.

The property has a large lawn. It is mowed weekly, and the sprinklers go on early in the morning and late at night (roughly 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.). Senske also attends to property maintenance items including pest control, weed control, lawn aeration, and seeding. WE CANNOT STOP THESE SERVICES FOR GUESTS.

There is a garage on site that is not available for guests.

The laundry room, with a washer and dryer, is located in
an unfinished basement. This is a shared space (as it has owner cleaning supplies and is used for storage of personal items) and has not been updated or improved. It is not maintained in mint condition for guest use. The walls and floor are concrete. The space is locked and only available upon request, upon which the door code will be provided. We are happy to share this place with guests who won't hold its unfinished nature against us.

I am a Superhost host and live just a few blocks away and am readily available upon request. Check-in is by key-code with instructions texted the morning of or evening before your stay. These instructions will be personalized and include information on the availability of early check-in or late check-out.

I am happy to make recommendations for food or activities during your stay!

Excellent Bungalow: We stayed 5 nights and found the description of the property to be accurate. The house is super clean and has comfortable beds with a lot of closet space to hang up clothes. We did some cooking and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. The location made it easy to walk into town.

Property well maintained. Comfortable beds. The location is excellent and the owners were very responsive. Full kitchen with all your cooking essentials and they provided an AC unit which kept the whole house cool.

Like everything in this world, this rental has it's share of good and bad. Positives:1. It is located in a nice area.2. The host is gracious enough to allow travelers to use the laundry facility. I really appreciated that. 3. The landscape is well maintained. 4. The kitchen is stocked with everything a traveler could need. The k-pods were well stocked with a variety of blends. 5. The bath towels are very good quality. I know this isn't something we think about when renting a vacation home, but it is HUGE plus for my family! Now on to the negatives:1. When a listing says the house has AC, I assume it means the whole house can be cooled to a comfortable temperature. There is no central air in this home and that should be specified. Yes there is an AC unit, which is in the common area and only cools the common area. The 2 rooms and bathroom remained miserably hot the duration of our stay. If would have known ahead of time that there was no central air, I wouldn't have rented this place. If a listing has "air conditioning" as one of the amenities, most people would not assume it is a unit cooler for 1 room. 2. We were charged an extra cleaning fee to utilize the second bedroom. I thought, "Ridiculous, but ok..." As much as us vacationers are charged in cleaning fees, one could expect the house to be clean right? I don't know how the previous tenant's cleaning fee was utilized, but the house wasn't clean. The table and floors were grimy, to say the least.
