After being let down at short notice by another property company, we found this apartment on VRBO. Across the board it turned out great. The mgmt company was highly responsive during booking and during our stay. The building staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. The apartment itself was just right and 100% as described. Terrace views were amazing! It’s a great location - lots in the neighbourhood and very easy to get to most other parts of the city. Top marks and we would book again, if at all possible.

From the minute we arrived the concierge Pablo was charming and very helpful. And then we found all of the staff to be wonderful. The place was as described and actually felt nicer and bigger than the pictures implied. The balcony view to the Empire State building was wonderful changing all the time from multicolors to white at night to gleaming in the sun during the day or mysteriously shrouded in fog other times.
The communication with both the management company and the staff at the Monterey was excellent. The gym fee is worth it It's very well equipped. Loved the proximity to everything 34th Street 42nd Street Grand Central station Bryant Park. The only downside are the beds they are very uncomfortable but we added a pillow top lol.
We would stay there again.
