About this house rental
Create lake life memories on Lake Oconee in this well appointed 3 bedroom, three bathroom home. Nestled in a serene cove with plenty of wildlife, this phenomenal property offers a terrific retreat for guests to enjoy the lake. Bring your own boat (the boat ramp is a 1/2 mile drive from the house and a 300 yard cruise to our dock) use our kayak, or swim off our dock. There are so many ways to enjoy Lake Oconee's beauty and nature here. The home has two levels with the upper level having a living room with fireplace, dining room with table for 8, well stocked kitchen, primary bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom, guest bedroom with 2 twin beds, full guest bathroom, and access to the upper deck with an outdoor dining table and 4 rocking chairs. The lower level has a living room (with 2 Queen sleeper sofas), eat in kitchen area, workspace, pool table, laundry room, guest bedroom with Queen bed, full guest bathroom and access to the lower deck with many seating options for you.
Outdoors, the deck and walkway have 4 chaise lounges for enjoying the view and sun. At the dock you can relax on our Adirondack chairs and watch the herons, ospreys, hawks, ducks and turtles. Or trying your luck fishing for the carp, bass and crappie that make the lake home. Feel free to swim in the lake at the dock using the swim ladder. The shed has floatation devices and life jackets, an electric pump and fishing gear and rods. The lake is ~11 feet deep at the end of our dock. Please don't swim near the boat lift to avoid injury. At the front of the house, the porch offers plenty of seating and ceiling fans where you can relax and watch the hummingbirds. You'll also have access to the two car garage next to the front porch where you'll find the propane and charcoal grills.
The Lake Oconee area has many amenities on and near the lake including boat rentals, excellent golf courses, access to the Oconee national forest for hiking and exploring, a famous writers trail, and many excellent restaurants.
Our property is steep and accessing the dock requires going down 75 stairs from the driveway and 66 from the lower deck. Please consider this if anyone in your party has mobility challenges.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this lovely lake house! The upstairs deck was a highlight, offering a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The house was exactly as described, with plenty of space for our family of six to spread out comfortably. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making meal preparation a breeze.Our host, Bob, was exceptional—responsive, helpful, and quick to address any questions we had. While there were a few minor maintenance issues, we’re confident Bob will have them resolved for future guests. Despite some rainy weather and a minor ant issue outside affecting our vehicles, we had a fantastic week by the lake. Thank you, Bob, for your outstanding hospitality!

Our stay was great. The boat ramp was close by and the slough was calm even at the busiest part of the day. The house had every thing we needed to prepare and serve all of our meals. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had.
