I was weary about cleanliness due to previous comments so I came prepared with my own cleaning supplies and was pleasantly surprised I did not have to use any of it, the place was clean and tidy! Everything in the kitchen was clean and beds even smelled great! The Village community is cute and the porch chairs are perfect for watching the family of birds having fun in the tall trees! The loft was a good fit for my teenage niece. It is a pleasant scenic drive to mt lassen for the day. I will definitely stay again when traveling in the area.

We rented three of the cabins and we had an excellent time. We all stayed comfortably, cooked and had a place to call home for the weekend. The only thing we missed was an oven mitt, but the cabins had everything else!

Small place. Adults can’t walk upstairs without ducking. If you’re over 6’ tall the kitchen and bathroom will also make you lean a bit. The kitchen has basic utensils for 3 people. If it’s going to be over 95 degrees during your stay the night will be hot. No AC. They don’t clean the place regularly, the windows were dirty and streaked. They allow pets and it showed. It was an ok stay

The property itself is fine. It is exactly as shown in pictures and in a convenient location for Lake Almanor. I have no concerns with the cabin or the owner.
However, during our stay, we found the cabin very dirty. This included the floors, dishes, bathroom sink, etc. I feel bad for the property owner in this case. He was fair and gave me a significant refund after seeing my pictures. He is not getting what he pays for with a cleaning service. Even the most basic cleaning hasn’t been getting done at this cabin. Based on his response, I have a feeling future guests would find these issues remedied by a new cleaning crew.
