The host was very responsive and easy to work with. We arrived later than originally expected but were warmly welcomed upon arrival. Paola’s recommendations for restaurants, pastries, markets, leather goods and other area merchants were excellent. The location of the apartment is one of its greatest strengths. Though just two blocks from the Duomo with many main attractions within easy reach, the neighborhood is comprised of locals rather than tourists. Mercato di Sant’Ambrogio is a short walk as well as enjoyable restaurants such as La Ghiotta.

Paola greeted us and showed us how everything worked, where to eat, and gave us a personalized map. When the hot water heater broke, repair people fixed it instantly. A quiet, great location.

The Lemon Tree was a great place to stay. Roomy. Very convenient to get around town. Morning coffee outside was nice.
