About this apartment rental
Centrally located on Helmholzplatz/Prenzlauer Berg, yet very quiet, this is a spacious holiday apartment on the ground floor with terrace and sandpit. The apartment is particularly suitable for two couples and families.
The quiet holiday apartment is located on the ground floor in the back building of an old Berlin building complex that was completely renovated in 2009, directly on Helmholtzplatz. It has two elegant rooms (each approx. 30 square meters) with high-quality furnishings. The living-bedroom has one single bed and a sofa bed as well as a television and a view of the terrace. The bedroom facing the courtyard has a large double bed as well as a sofa bed and another television. The kitchen contains everything that`s needed. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and towel warmer. There is also a separate toilet with a small sink. Four city bikes are available to the apartment.
The holiday apartment is located right in the heart of the Prenzlauer Berg district at Helmholtzplatz (park and play area) wich is a very colorful trendy area with cafés, restaurants and unusual shops. A few minutes' walk away are Kollwitz-Platz, Kastanienallee, the Kulturbrauerei and Mauerpark. Alexanderplatz (approx. 5 - 7 minutes' drive) and Museum Island (approx. 10 - 15 minutes' drive) are also within reach. It is a 7-minute walk to the nearest subway station - Eberswälder Straße/Sennefelder Platz. From there you have a connection to almost all of Berlin's main sights. The main train station can be reached directly by tram.

After researching where to stay we decided on this property. Very easy to get to and a perfect base away from the busy central part of the city yet convenient and quick to get to wherever you want with nearby tram and underground stops. The accomodation was exactly as described. We stayed for 3 nights and managed to pack most of what we wanted to see. If we come again we will definitely book this place. There is a supermarket a short walk away to the main road and small convenience stores on the same street. Plenty of food options close by to suit all tastes. An added bonus for us is that after eating out in the city there is a small bar very close bar that has live music on - a great way to finish a busy day in the city. Many thanks Katja !!!

Lovely apartment located off of an interior garden courtyard. Quiet, with easy access to public transit. Great neighborhood. Good communication from host, but apartment instructions were only in German, so we were a bit challenged as we speak English, French and Spanish. Host was very helpful and accommodated our request for an early check-in after 16 hours of travel.

The location is wonderful. So close to many shops, restaurants, parks, and public transport make it a perfect spot. We were in Berlin for 7 days / 6 nights but were only left two towels each (one of which wasn’t even big enough to wrap around you) and there is no laundry in the apartment. We reached out to Katja and she made sure we got the towels we needed! We did almost miss our check in because after our long day of travel I forgot that the check in instructions said the business we needed to pick the keys up from closes at 5pm. So if you have a later in the afternoon flight keep that in mind, you may be able to reach out to her and arrange something for later check in.
