It was so lovely meeting John! We arrived later than we expected as we drove from Betty’s Bay but we kept in communication with him. He met us and we had such a lovely conversation with him. He told us all the ins and outs of what to do around the area, very helpful! The accommodation was so beautiful, the pool and views were lovely too. It was 5min away from the beach, bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Truly couldn’t t be more perfect as we have been driving so much. There was a fridge and a nice kitchen. It was very spacious! There was not a washing machine but they do offer that service at a charge if need be. You have your own apartment but there are other guests. So peaceful and quiet, really couldn’t recommend it more. We had to cut our trip short as we drove back to joburg and I told John just so he could rent it out, not wanting money back, but he offered that next time we are down he would give us another night. What a good man!

- Parking right in front of the door (not behind a gate but the area is super safe)
- Perfect location (2min from city center & 5min from LookOut beach)
- More a FYi: If you want a fast reply from the host, call them. We tried to message them om Booking and Whatsapp for check-in but didnt get a reply (maybe messages didnt arrive though). When calling, we got a reply immediately though :)
- As mentioned in other reviews : yes the road you hear from the pool is busy, but it didnt bother us. Also, you don’t hear it in your room
- No AC, but the fan in the bedroom makes it cool enough, so again not a problem for us

Het kleine zwembad is op warme dagen erg fijn. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is mooi.
Op het gebied van hygiëne en onderhoud zijn nog grote stappen te zetten. Wij hadden 2 appartementen geboekt. In beiden was de schoonmaak niet in orde. Aanrecht plakte enorm, overal stof, maar het ergste was de enorme schimmel op het plafond (en in de voegen) van de badkamer. Na dit gemeld te hebben en aangegeven te hebben dat dit echt heel erg slecht is voor de gezondheid (kreeg alleen de opmerking dat ze door de drukte geen tijd hadden gehad er iets aan te doen, geen excuses, geen ‘oh wat vervelend’) is er wel iets aan gedaan, maar was het nog steeds niet zoals je zou mogen verwachten. Daarnaast zag het geheel er niet netjes uit: gebroken lichtknopjes, een plafondventilator die bijna naar beneden kwam, honderden mieren in de kamer, een tafeltje in de badkamer die op instorten stond. Dit was de enige accommodatie in Zuid-Afrika die niet beviel.
De accommodatie ligt aan een drukke weg.
Was meegegeven voor de wasservice: een broek met vlekken erin terug gekregen (die er niet meer uitgaan).
