L'Eau Forte - maison d'hôtes

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber! Wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend Begrüsst! Es war sehr heiss und er hatte uns eine kleine Klimaaanlage im Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Modern und klein aber fein eingerichtet.

Die Kissen waren sehr weich.

There are two units in this facility - a bedroom with beautiful private bath and a full apartment with another bedroom. Both are beautiful and immaculately clean! The apartment has sliders to a balcony with table & chairs. There are also two gardens we had use of. Both units have a mini-fridge pre-stocked with a small bottle of champagne and milk (for coffee), as well as a fruit bowl. They have coffeemakers and an ample supply of pods, refilled on request. There is also a washer and dryer, full kitchen, dishwasher and stove with oven! There are beautiful views out the windows. The town of St-Blais is very charming and so are the views, and we can also see the lake. There is a stream that runs past the property and the sound of the water is lovely. Sergio (employee) greeted us on arrival and brought us (and our luggage) up to the units and showed us around and how everything worked. He was around during the week working outside if we needed anything and checked in a couple of times to see how we were doing. Very helpful. Where they really stood out was on the last day. We had booked a car to take us to our next destination. 45 mins before pickup time the car service canceled, leaving us stuck. We asked Richard (owner) and Sergio if there was any chance of a ride to the train station. Within 10 minutes Richard was there to drive us! Sergio brought down our luggage and then brought it to the train platform. I can't recommend this property highly enough! If the timing works, we will return.

Be aware that both units are up a flight of stairs, so if you have mobility issues navigating stairs it's something to consider. Since Sergio brought our luggage up and down it wasn't a problem. Also the town of St. Blais has an upper and lower section, with a steep hill to walk between them. This unit is in the upper section. There is a bakery (CHF cash only!) and a lovely restaurant with excellent fondue very close, but the majority of the businesses and restaurants are in the lower section of town, so you'll be walking that hill both ways. It's not all that long, but something to be aware of. It's also about 0.5 km to each of the two train stations, and typically people would just walk it. I felt badly asking for a ride but my travel companion had been ill and it would have been a struggle for her. It's really not expected that it would be part of the stay.

Wunderschön renovierte Loft mit grosszügiger Ausstattung inkl. Früchte , Kaffee, Tee und Prosecco. Nichts hat gefehlt. Der wildromantische Garten ist wunderbar zur Erholung nach einem Ausflug. Die Lage ist sehr gut: Zentrum, Bahn und Bus gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Parkplatz in der Nähe. Unseren herzlichen Dank an die wunderbaren Gastgeber!
