Communication from our hosts was quick, efficient, and friendly before and throughout our stay. All our queries were answered quickly and efficiently. There was a welcome bottle of wine on arrival, and basics such as coffee pods, tea bags, washing up liquid, bathroom soaps etc were provided. Several decent local restaurants nearby, and it is within 15 - 20 minutes walk of both Cascais and Estoril, and 10 minutes walk (uphill!) from Monte Estoril train station with regular trains to Cascais, Belem, and Lisbon.

I hate being negative in reviews, but from our arrival we were disappointed in ths accommodation. Initial impressions were that it smelt unaired/unused, and was very dark. The photos make it look bright and airy, probably because they were taken with lights on and windows open. The reality is that it is a rather tired lower ground floor apartment with all windows looking out either onto the communal carpark or, in the case of the bedroom, onto a communal walkway, so if you wanted any privacy the stutters had to stay partially closed. Criticism of the comfort of a bed is unfair, but when matress springs are noisy it is definitely time for a new matress. The bathroom was adequate, but the shower went off if the water was being run in the kitchen. "Beach Haven" is something of a misnomer as it is definitely in an urban area away from the beaches. The only area to sit outside was next to a communal walkway, and close to a road with buses passing regularly.
