Apartment is located in an upscale area of Estoril and just few minutes from famous Cascais, so big yachts and Lamborghini show rooms everywhere, I am sure you get the point. Apartment building is facing a very nice park that adjoins Casino Estoril, a great establishment for some casino fun and world famous shows that take place there (our reasons for this visit there really). Loads of great restaurants around, some exquisite shops and craftsman coffee shops and bakeries. Very nice beaches are just outside your doorstep as well, so you will get a bit of everything there. Definitely a place to visit. There is few shops around, with the closest one is literally in the very same apartment building but it's good only for essentials, it's tiny but can get the job done if your tired after a whole day of fun. Foodwise you will find a decent shop that is about 3 minutes walk from the apartment, and if your into some serious shopping, there is a shopping center 7 minutes drive from the location. Overall the apartment deserves 9 points for it's location, window views, very easy access, keys collection and return, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, air-conditioning/heating working in order but unfortunately we had to take away 1 point for a non working one of the window shutters. Now, you could say that one not working window shutter it's not much but the whole wall that faces the park is made of glass, so in the evening, when the lights are on, we are talking about being a show to pedestrians :) and in the morning sun will wake you up with it's first rays. Place gets a solid 8 points.

There is absolutely nothing that we didn't like about the apartment itself, what we take as a negative side of this place is the parking availability and prices. Very few parking spaces outside the apartment building, and even if you find something it will be one of the most expensive parking fees you will ever have to pay. Now few solid facts. Free of charge, on street parking is from 23:00 - 08:00. During the day you can pay a maximum of 3 hours on one go, and it will cost you €5.10, as hourly rate is €1.70, so the whole day of parking is €25, again, only if you will find a spot and you will need to top it up every 3 hours! Don't try to leave your car without a parking ticket as parking services are really on the ball there. Remember, it is a safe area but we are still talking about on street parking for €25 a day! You can park your car at Casino Estoril, where there is loads of free parking spots, and it's a security supervised site with a 24/7 access, and a full day of parking will cost you there €40. If your planning to stay in that area, you can prepare yourself and book a parking at one of the few secure parking sites around. Generally prices vary from €30 - €50 for a day, depending on location (distance to the casino) and extra services, like valeting etc. We've been there for 4 days and we're talking here about a €120 car parking fees! So it is a bit on pricey side in my opinion. I get the point that probably very few people who visit Casino Estoril is bothered with things like that. I just believe that people visiting the area could be briefly informed about things like that. If you don't mind a 10 minutes walk, you will find some free of charge parking places but there is very few of them and you really need to be lucky to get one. I am sure accessibility to these places depends on the season and what's actually being played in the Casino. When we've been there, place was packed to the neck for good 3 days.

Proprietario non presente per risolvere piccolo problema con la TV ( non siamo riusciti a impostare TV con canali normali) .

Was shocked when I stripped the sheet off the bed! The mattress was disgusting, as was one of the pillows. So disappointing.
