The bed was incredibly comfortable — honestly, one of the best beds I’ve slept in during my time in Sri Lanka. The room was beautiful, with a lovely view that made the stay even more enjoyable. It was so peaceful and quiet that I slept incredibly well.

In general, humidity is common in homes in Sri Lanka, but the toilet seat had mold on it, which I found unacceptable. It could easily be replaced with a new one.

Spacious room, the fridge is a great addition, quiet. The food was great, (We bought breakfast and dinner) breakfast was a basic toast and eggs but the kottu for dinner was delicious!

The room was not ready on time (we dropped off our bags at 12:30, which he was surprised at even though we messaged before arriving, and came back at 4 to the room still not being ready). Maybe it was a language barrier but he did not make us feel comfortable. It says kitchen facilities but I wouldn’t use them as he made us feel very awkward, staring at my wife while she made tea and hot water for noodles. He was also outside our room on multiple occasions when we came back from seeing Kandy. On checkout day, we got breakfast at 10am, he informs us at 10:20 (when he finally served breakfast) that checkout was 10:30 when checkout says 11. Then he used an inaccurate 2 month old conversion rate favouring the rupee.

was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The person in charge assigned us a very small corner room, even though better rooms appeared to be available. The water supply was also muddy, which was unacceptable and made the stay uncomfortable. Breakfast was very poor. The only items provided were string hoppers, coconut sambal, potato curry, and boiled eggs. There was no tea or coffee, which is a basic expectation for a hotel breakfast. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I hope the management improves the room allocation process, water quality, and breakfast service for future guests.
