The view! The view!! The VIEW!!! The 7 of us stayed on the top floor, with 4 rooms (each with a bathroom) and a kirtchen and terrace with a glorious view of the sea. This is the main attraction of these apartments, and that the sea and beach are there just below you, and not at all croweded (with very few other bathers in fact). We were able to cook, make lunches and dinners and when it became very hot nap in the air conditioned rooms. These are not luxury apartments, but for the price had exactly what we wanted; we could swim on a quiet beach whenever we wanted and eat, drink, talk, laugh and smoke on a terrace looking out upon the vast Black Sea (and watch beautiful sunsets!!!). Some days we spotted dolphins swimming past us. The centre of Chakvi has all the shops we needed, and Batumi and its sites are also very close by. The owners are kind and helpful people (they speak Georgian and Russian - we do not, but it was not a problem) We reccomend this place to familes or groups of friends on a budget, and/or whose priorites are a great location and peace and quiet.

There are lots of little repairs that need to be done, but none that we a big problem for us. And it does need a big overall deep cleaning. If I were the owner I would renovate the entire top floor, new everything and in white, but of course that would increase the price. In truth we would happily go back here, even with bad mattresses or the broken window panes. (The train tracks in front of the house might bother some people, but it did NOT bother us at all)
