Very convenient location and good value!

Fantastic location, parking a bonus! Very comfortable beds, nicely laid out and great size!

No hot water at all, we stayed the night before going to have a wedding dress fitting so being unable to shower as water freezing was very disappointing! There was dirty towels and sheets piled in a cupboard also which was not pleasant to come across.

Shocking!!!!

Didn't receive the code to get the key from the garage. Tried to call but the phone number provided was incorrect ("you have dialled an incorrect number"). Sent messages and emails but still haven't received any response 2 days after we were meant to check in.

Apartment was fine. Weird to have so many locks on doors.

You have to collect your keys from what must be the most dodgy petrol station over the road I've visited. To the extend that on trying to return them the doors were all locked and had to return half an hour later. Every public area of this building stinks of weed.

DONT BOOK

Absolutely awful experience. Needed a 6 digit code to collect the keys which we didn’t have. Number I was sent for the host was an incorrect number. Booking.com had a wrong number so couldn’t speak to her either. Was stood around for an hour waiting to hear back and then got an email to say the booking could no longer be accommodated (after we’d travelled 3 hours there and was stood outside the property for an hour) Awful

Unfortunately I was unable to get into the property upon arrival. On arrival, I went to the location advised in the email to collect the keys, only to be told I required a code to get the key. I had not been sent any such code. I tried to ring the property/host on the number provided but this went to a dead dial tone immediately. I also tried messaging the host with no reply. Whilst doing all of this, myself and my two friends we’re left waiting outside in the cold trying to establish next steps as there was little in the area for us to go and wait inside at that time if night when we did not know what we were doing. In the end booking.com tried to contact the property but also had no reply and finally advised me around 2 hours after making initial contact with them that I was not able to stay at the property and it was not available.

Useless - don't book here!

The host did not honour our booking. The contact phone number which we had been given was invalid and they replied to none of our messages when we tried to report issues with collecting a key to get in. We were given no six digit keycode so couldn't collect they keys when we arrived. Despite many calls and emails, the host has yet to respond. Booking.com have been great and refunded us but the situation ruined our trip and left us with extra expense for alternative accommodation.

Host did not respond to emails. Contact phone number was invalid. No keycode to collect keys from the place we were told to go. Probably a scam, the hotel where we eventually found a room said they have had several guests reporting a similar issue in the city recently.

Disappointed and Frustrated

Nothing as we couldn’t get in.

Never got into the property, Owner wouldn’t reply, the phone went to a non existent number, when I looked through letter box there was other peoples stuff in it.

Avoid! Host left me with nowhere to stay on the day of arrival

I was contacted on my way to the flat (which had been booked for months) to say it was not available due to technical issues (?) but an alternative was available in the same building. I responded and said we would look at the other flat. And was then ghosted by this host for the rest of the time up to check in and beyond. So I arrived in Birmingham (having come from Scotland) with nowhere to stay. Had to shell out for another place last minute (which I could have done hours earlier had I known she was going to leave me in limbo) It was all really stressful and I spent most of my journey checking for updates that were never coming. Getting the refund back from booking.com was also a total hassle as they dont respond to you within 24hrs as their info states. Had to call them in the end. Money could take 10 working days to come back to me.. ridiculous in the circumstance

It was very modern and in a great location to what we was visiting the city for.

I didjt like the giant bunch of keys and fobs I had to try and figure out and also carry around with me at the concert just to be able to get back in.

Amazing , clean , impressive communication

The property was definitely a hidden gem , cleanliness was on point , everything was great .

The only thing I’d say is the fact it was in a tower block , you wouldn’t expect the nice apartment to be there .

It was ok, but location needs to be clearer and communication better.

The decor was good, place was clean and well presented. We were only using it to drop bags, get ready and go out and sleep in so it was ideal for this.

Before travelling, I messaged the host asking for information but no response until the day of travel through the booking app, which was not acceptable if you leave a number specifically for this. It was in a tower block which wasn't immediately obvious from the advertisement initially and because of this the address I went to first of all was incorrect and time consuming. We had to collect keys from the garage across the road once we realised which was not ideal and the instructions for getting in the building were also not clear. Recommend getting some images of the keys for future users or meeting people in person. Once in, some of the doors hinges squeaked and disturbed my friend once we were in bed. Recommend this gets looked at and oiled. There were no coasters available to put hot drinks on tables so recommend this to help keep tables in good condition.

Overall it was a lovely apartment, in a convenient location and would definitely recommend.

The apartment itself is absolutely stunning, the beds were lovely and comfortable. The location itself is very convenient and a short walk from the station and o2, and shopping centre which is really handy.

The fact it’s in a block of flats is a little more on the difficult side, the fobs didn’t initially work. And the lifts didn’t work either at first, which isn’t anything to do with the actual property itself. We had an issue collecting our keys, and after a long day of travelling isn’t the most convenient thing. It probably is not the best process for collecting, however the host was very helpful and sorted it straight away. Although It put a bit of a negative start on our trip we still were very happy with the apartment itself . But I must say overall we enjoyed our stay despite the small hiccups, which could easily be fixed in the future.

The key collection process was difficult, the person on the collection point didn’t know the location of the accommodation, that was just crossing the street. Maybe a dossier with fotos and references would helped us in this process. The building was a little bit dirty, the apartment is renewed but the bathroom was at the opposite location from the bedrooms … the oven did not work, because of lack of electricity, I used a cable extension to make it work. Hand held shower was also failing and toilet light was always on… we couldn’t turn it off…

Getting access is an obstacle course!!!

The procedure to get the keys is ABSURD! The guy at the petrol station in front asked me for the code to release the keys. The code, sent by the owner, turned out to be wrong, and the guy told me to sort it out myself. The WhatsApp number provided by the owner didn’t work at all, so I went back to the petrol station, where the guy started testing me as I was a scammer, negating about keys and the accommodation, meanwhile it was midnight and I had my wife and two kids in the taxi (which I kept on paying for another 15 mins waiting for me). In the, the petrol station guy waited for clients to go away and saying, with an angry tone, that he knows the owner personally and was going to sort out things. I still haven’t heard back from the owner since then, while she knew we had a delay on the flight. A very bad experience, given the late time after a long day trip and two kids with us.

Set up was as described

Location/building was horrific, whilst secure it was very un-nerving as wasn't expecting council estate high-rise block of flats Coffee machine with no coffee pods No where to sit and eat breakfast i.e. no breakfast bar or table/chairs Bathroom light couldn't be switched off No welcome guidance, instructions re bins etc Quality of renovations were less desirable

Unfortunate that we couldn’t access property.

Couldn’t gain access to property or raise owner. Contacted Booking.com who informed me that even though I had waited an hour after check-in time I still had to wait another 45 minutes for them to try to contact the owner which we did and ended up booking in elsewhere have received an email to say we could no longer be accommodated at this property. Turns out the owner had left her phone on a boat and had to wait for it to return.

That the only way to access the key was with the code and that maybe another method could also be used in case this happens again.

Comfy, quiet high rise in a fantastic location.

A really well appointed two bedroom apartment in a wonderful 1970s high rise block of flats. I absolutely loved it! The key collection from a nearby Gulf fuel station was really easy, and all access instructions were well communicated. The location is great, it is within a 3 minute walk of the O2 Academy, and 5 minutes to New Street Station. Great sound proofing, comfy beds, and teabags in the kitchen. What more could you want? I'll definitely return.

No table & chairs for eating. Too many light bulbs needed replacing, so areas rather dark. Batteries needed replacing in kitchen clock,”Birmingham” sign, etc. Toilet seat needs fixing. Lack of dishwasher.
