Barrique 13 - Breakfast at Restaurant & Minibar - Old Town

A localização é excelente. O inconveniente é ter que sair da acomodação para tomar café da manhã. Quando estávamos choveu todas as manhãs e era sofrido chegar até o restaurante.

O café, do tipo continental, não tem muita variedade.

Great location Clean

Very close to a hostel At times can be noisy at night

The location was perfect as it was right in the old town and close to all transportation methods, restaurants etc. The breakfast at the restaurant is satisfactory. All in all, its good enough if you are looking for a place to just sleep and bathe.

It was not that clean as there were cobwebs in many corners and the state of the bathroom, although it looks modern has some silicone issues, the radiator is dirty and the sink area is made from some kind of wood and due to it getting wet has started to get damaged. Also the bathroom window does not have a curtain and the neighbours next door, above the room can easily stare into it. In addition, the shower water is warm for 30 seconds and then cold and thsi thing reccurs all the time. Also, there is a sewage smell at points (which i understand is due to the old sewerage system). From what we saw the bed was also supported by 2 extra pieces of wood beneath it and is not that stable so you cant move around a lot on it so that the "spine" is not shattered in half. The breakfast restaurant is a 10 minute walk which is not that great if you just wake up and look for your breakfast. The main door of the apartment can be opened from the outside, which means that you have to keep it locked all the time. Also the door lock looks flimsy and not safe at all. Also, minimal response and communication from the host which can be stessful if you are just arriving in brasov. In addition, there is no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Lastly, the entrance to the apartment is a bit sketchy and is inside a badly lit alleyway which is smelly and can be confusing to find. (Sorry for the lack of pictures)

The apartment itself is exceptionally spacious, very roomy, and located in a great area. It offers plenty of indoor comfort and excellent physical space for a comfortable stay if you are traveling without a vehicle

The apartment had no AC and the heater was running during hot weather, but the host completely ignored our messages on how to turn it off. We also couldn't open the windows for relief because one bedroom faces a very noisy hostel aisle. Furthermore, the host disappeared after afternoon hours, causing us to miss a partner restaurant breakfast we couldn't find, and they later went back on a promised refund for our flight change.
