Good hotel - restaurant closed again!

Second time if staying - beautiful place and lovely, clean, well-equipped rooms

For the second time in two visits the restaurant was closed. OK, these things happen, but to be told two days before arrival was very unprofessional

Very clean room, although a little small, but no on-site facilities at all.

Lovely little room, with a decent bathroom, and parking right outside.

There were no on-site facilities were open during our stay. We were advised after booking that the restaurant was closed, but this is a pub venue, so we assumed at least the bar would be open. We wouldn’t have booked had we known in advance.

Expensive for a tiny room.

Easily located, lots of parking, nicely decorated.

The tiny double bed, the size of the room for the price was smaller than a London room. I asked twice about a late check-out and got no response, we checked out at 10am as per the email received and there wasn’t even anyone at the pub to handle the check-out/return the key, it was closed!! Also when we checked in we were told they were not doing breakfast so that ruined our plans for somewhere to eat so we had to find somewhere else. Also the walls are super thin - could hear everyone’s conversations.

Lovely stay will return, perfect location for races

Likes we could check in and take key out with us so could let our selves straight in room when arrived bk at night Delux room beautiful and cosy had a lovely sleep stunning bathroom

The bar closed early would of liked to have a couple of drinks, bar was closed 8:30pm on a sat but Newmarket is lively so we just stayed out in town.

Time limitation on Dinner the Bar lady seemed very stressed!.when asked if we could eat @19.30 we were told it’s too late.

Excellent clean accommodation, friendly helpful staff, would stay again.

Unfortunately there was no breakfast available but there were tea and coffee facilities in the room as well as a good size mini fridge. The staff also recommended a cafe nearby that was excellent. The evening bar meal was nice and bar staff were pleasant. Rooms were cleaned daily and staff were really nice. Would definitely stay again.

We were aware there was no air con in the room and were happy to find a fan provided as the rooms in July were really hot. Overall this was not a problem.

Lovely looking place, pretty pub and modern accommodation.

Lots of little things - the plug in the bath didn’t work (let water out), the room was very stuffy even with a fan, the toiletries are absolutely minimal so take your own, one plastic cup for water, there was no one there in the morning to check out, there was no breakfast on offer and the evening meals were expensive and really not worth the money.

Convenient location for us.

Unfortunately the pub itself was closed so no opportunity for a drink or food. We were warned that dinner would not be available but did not know until the morning of our stay that the pub would be closed. The only other pub with easy walking distance was also closed.

Location good for Newmarket races and countryside attractions. Does not currently provide a Breakfast option. Accommodation very good and staff very helpful and pleasant

Rooms are great, clean and comfortable with plenty of parking.

The pub wasn’t open when we arrived and didn’t open until 6pm so we went somewhere else for food and drinks. We could get our room keys but no drinks or food. No breakfast served.

Immaculate room, honest and pleasant staff, excellent food and service A*****

We stayed in an attic room which is a superior room. It was immaculate, bright and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable nights stay, including a TV bed. The food and service was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. I left some clothing items accidentally (one which was an expensive brand). I contacted them a week or do later and the staff promptly located my items and posted them out to me. Very honest and lovely people.

There isn’t anything negative I can say. We would most definitely stay here again.

Room was Clean Bed Comfortable

Advised we would not be given breakfast as they were short staffed and had no one to cook it .and that it was reflected in price not true we paid the full price requested when booking Surprisingly they had a chef in evening. Food Overpriced Awful Ordered Steak Completely Tasteless Would never eat there again
