The Inverleither

The apartment was nice, clean and warm, situated in a basement/garden level of 19th century villa. Bed super comfy had a great sleep. Location in a walking distance to city centre. Host very accommodating. Highly recommend.

Fomos recebidos pelo Sr. Lakhbir e sua adorável esposa, que moram na casa da frente. Lakhbir nos levou até a acomodação e nos ajudou com a bagagem. A acomodação é aconchegante, muito confortável, 2 quartos, a cozinha é bem equipada e o banheiro tem uma ótima banheira de hidromassagem. Há um jardim em frente com mesinha ao ar livre e um balanço. A localização é em bairro maravilhoso, com casas elegantes e em frente ao Inverleith Park (parque arborizado e com um lago com cisnes, patos, quadras para esportes e caminhos para caminhadas ou corridas). O parque está ao lado do ‘Royal Botanic Garden Edimburgh. Há supermercados, padarias, restaurantes e bares na vizinhança. Linhas de ônibus próximas. E para quem gosta de caminhar, o castelo de Edimburgo está a 40 minutos de caminhada por uma área linda (3,5km ou 2,17 milhas). Tudo excelente. Quero voltar e indico muito.

Well-appointed in a lovely location - close to the city centre but far enough for the neighbourhood to remain quiet. Parking space is off-road - a HUGE benefit in Edinburgh where street parking can cost £10/hour and/or street parking is reserved for residents.

Refrigerator doors should be reversed - fridge therefore opens awkwardly. It's easy to take to doors off and swop the hinges over to the left-hand side... Takes 15 minutes. Handbasin in the loo drains slowly, indicating a bit of a blockage, but not serious.

Location to Edinburgh was great. Free parking on the driveway was a good bonus.

Sadly the shower leaked/flooded the bathroom. There was no tea/coffee in the kitchen or other basic supplies. The hallway floor didn’t have expansion gaps so has a bump in it which isn’t great to walk on.
