a'Badia

Very clean, newly refurbished, great view and and a comfortable compact room. Shower had good pressure and the location was excellent. Quiet and the ac was effective. Angela was very friendly, responsive and helpful regarding parking.

I feel the online description was confusing. The implication that I had formed was that there was a kitchen available for the room - an apartment as it were - but actually the kitchen and living room were the room downstairs. Not deliberate but not clear. Our double room was shown as sleeping 3 - but that would be very tight. The passage light from the street door was on a timer which required warp speed to get to the room door before pitch darkness which with stairs to negotiate was dangerous. There was a kettle and coffee machine in a small area near the 2 seperate room doors but keeping the lights on long enough to make a drink was difficult. Only espresso sized paper cups provided so the kettle was superfluous unless you happen to travel with your own mug. As advertised there was a shared washing machine but elderly and despite a delicate wash shrank some clothes.
