This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. Everything was neat and very clean and the furnishings were in period to the building. The manager was very proud of their heritage with the place. There is a restaurant/pub just over the road.

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Easy check in and check out. Good beds, good shower, good breakfast. 24 hour coffee/tea and biscuits in dining room. Outdoor spaces to sit and read quietly or converse. We didn't drive, but it looks like there is easy parking on the property. The location is away from the tourist hordes -- it is about a 10-11 minute walk to the walled, historic center of Óbidos. There is some uphill walking to get there, but most people will not find it too challenging and, of course, the downhill walking is nice on the way back after a day of sightseeing. The owner was very nice and very helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. We also enjoyed a very nice dinner at the restaurant across the way.
