Secure and modern Quito Retreat, Fast WiFi, near Old Town

We spent 3 nights in the apartment. The apartment has 2 bedrooms. It is quite new, well furnished, clean and comfortable. There is a washing machine and dryer in the apartment which gives us the opportunity to do our laundry. Kitchen is adequately stocked with utensils, micro-wave oven and a full-sized grill. But we did not do any cooking. The owner, Sven, was very responsive to our requests and his father-in-law, Luis, was very helpful with our luggage, and to open the apartment for us and showed us how to use the water heater.

The structure of the building: we unloaded our luggage in the secure car park, moved our luggage down 2 levels, walked along a corridor and then up 2 more levels before we reached the unit. It was quite a struggle but Luis was helpful in carrying some of our bags. The area around the building does not seem too safe as it is located in the Old Town. For breakfast, we were provided with only a baguette and some buns for 3 mornings, although tea and coffee were available. There is a side-door at the level of our apartment that opens directly to the road level. We used this access on our departure day. However, the road is narrow and traffic is busy in the morning. So we directed our driver to another side-road behind the building while we lugged our bags down a slope to load up into the car.

This apartment is wonderfully close to the Historical Centre of Quito. It is newly built, with perfect facilities. You can walk down (and down) to the Old City, it is perfectly safe, but unless you're really fit, take a taxi home! Taxis are cheap and are everywhere. The apartment has everything you need, the kitchen is fully equipped, including a washing machine and a dryer. The view from the balcony is fantastic, looking down and over Quito, towards the mountains. Directly below the apartment is the beautiful Basilica. Our hosts picked us from the airport, showed us where everything was, and at the end of our stay, took us back to the airport. This part of town, is where the locals live, and some blocks away from the touristy area, so you really get a feel for the 'real Quito'. I loved our stay there, and was really happy to have found it. I would recommend to everybody!

I liked everything!

I loved the amazing view and be able to sit on balcony enjoying morning sunshine sipping my coffee. Easy walk distance to amazing cathedral. Lots of low cost fruits available from street vendors close by.

Always need taxi to get places, it is on the hill. But taxis are there and easy available. Being that high at least gave me those nice views

House new. There is everything what you need. Very close to the centrum. Lokation little bit up slope. But tzxis is very cheap to everywhere.
