Imperial Baker Street Studios

Lovely host - checked in with messages throughout to see if we needed anything which was a nice touch. The location was great for our stay. Close to tube station and also noticed a lot of bus routes passing through. We were also able to walk easily to some places we wanted to visit. Easy to access on arrival and felt very secure with no keys needed as can only access via secure code. Having access to a fridge and small kitchen area was useful. Provided tea, coffee etc along with biscuits and chocolates which was nice to see. Shower gel, hand soap and towels also provided.

The soundproofing from walls isn’t great so can be noisy if other apartments are occupied. Probably wouldn’t be suitable for spending much time in the apartment to relax but we were there for a busy city break so was fine. Minor maintenance issues - some plastering needed in the bathroom wall next to the shower. Slight damp smell from bathroom but nothing major.

Comfortable room, large bathroom with good shower on the ground floor. Everything was extremely clean and furniture new. Perfect location for my needs.

I would have rated it higher, but the second night of my stay the annoying fire alarm in the corridor in front of my room door did not stop even one second. The instructions to silence the alarm that were provided (via booking.com and on the wall near the alarm) did not work and I ended up not sleeping. The property apologized for the “inconvenience”, but I would have expected a discount given I was unable to sleep due to something that apparently often happens, since instructions to silence the alarm were near the alarm itself.

Comfortable and clean room. The hotel is close to the underground. Easy check-in.

Location is amazing.

The bed, mattress & pillows are really unacceptable. Also toilet room. It’s really cramped in the toilet - okay for a night, but we booked 5.
