Golden Terrace Delight

Tendo em conta que se trata de um apartamento situado numa zona balnear, é de esperar que haja muita humidade. Neste caso, é essencial que o proprietário areje bem todo o espaço. Havia um cheiro a bolor quando estivemos no apartamento no primeiro dia e, como pessoa altamente alérgica, só consegui dormir depois de tomar medicação para a asma e antialérgicos. Após o primeiro dia, ao deixar o ar condicionado ligado para secar o ambiente e arejar a casa ao longo do dia, a situação melhorou bastante. É uma solução simples, que deve ser implementada antes da chegada do hóspede, e não pelo próprio hóspede.

The apartment was very clean, very spacious and very nice. It was well equipped. (But I wished it had had more coffee pods and sugar in the kitchen. It's hard for foreigners to know what pods to buy and where.) The full-size beds were very comfortable, but the single children's beds were hard. Instructions would have been nice, like, how to use the coffee machine, how to get channels on the TV, etc. None available.

We found the location to be an irritation. The walk to town, while short, about five or six blocks, is along a narrow sidewalk of a busy street where cars much too fast. I was worried about my grandchildren's safety on that narrow sidewalk, with cars racing by at speeds much too high for small town traffic. It made the walk to town very unpleasant. Both I and grandchildren thought so. Although the apartment is not far from the beach or town, about an 8 minute walk, the speeding cars made it very unpleasant. Getting to town through the village, staying off that busy street, was complicated. We tried it once, with Google maps, but it was not worth it.

It is clean and spacious and well equipped. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants and groceries and the bus stop!
