Lovely location and although basic the mobile home has everything you need. It was good for kids.
I didn’t get the check in details till I was there and tried to get them from the office to find out it was a private caravan. This was worrying as I thought I had been ripped off till I found the van and the cleaner confirmed I had the booking

Great location
Good base for days out, walking, cycling and including Alton Towers.
Clean caravan site with small (quite expensive) on site shop and small swimming pool (free but bookable in advance at reception/shop).
Food van during summer/school holidays.
Good information and communication from host.
Generally clean and tidy and well equipped but could probably do with a bit of a spring clean (cobwebs and dusty blinds and no toilet brush)
On a personal note, I found the bed sheets and blankets to smell very strongly of washing powder/liquid. I’m sure this would not bother most people but with a sensitive nose and sensitive skin, I found it difficult to sleep due to the strong smell.

We were taking the grandchildren to Gulliver’s Kingdom so it was very convenient to stay there.
The owner was super helpful with a couple of requests we had.
Beds were very comfy and it was nice and quiet.
Pool was nice to have a swim in and we liked the timed slots so it wasn’t jam packed.
Site staff helpful.
Convenient for sightseeing.
If I had one suggestion it would be to provide tea towels and an oven glove.
Was tricky to make a meal without them. Had to buy some after first evening.
