The location which is definitely strategic (quite central and well connected, with two metro stops about a 15-minute walk away) and the view is nice (you can see the Parthenon). Also, the host was pretty helpful.
We were 6 people staying in this house for 7 nights. As mentioned before, the location is definitely strategic (quite central and well connected, with two metro stops about a 15-minute walk away) and the view is nice (you can see the Parthenon).
That's exactly how the house is described.
What's not mentioned is that if you look down from the terrace, you'll see a field where drug addicts gather at all hours of the day, and the area doesn’t really feel safe, especially at night.
During our stay we had several issues, the biggest one being cockroaches coming out of the shower in one of the two bathrooms. To be fair, the host Konstantinos was very responsive at all times, always trying to help and solve things, but the problems kept coming back even after pest control and extra cleaning. To be honest, the issue with insects and cockroaches is probably not just about this apartment but a general problem in Athens; still, if that's something you really can't handle or if you have a phobia, you should keep it in mind because it’s not a small issue.
Overall, I think the apartment is too small for 6 people (or even 7), but if you only use it to sleep, like we did, it can work. One big plus was the outdoor shower, which was super handy and functional, especially after a day at the beach, and even more so since one of the two bathrooms was basically unusable because of the insects.
