Chic Apartment with Sun Lounge Near Manly Beach

Great location close to everything but still very quiet.

Was a little hot with no aircon which would have been fine if we could open all the windows. However the windows in lounge room and bedroom were stuck closed.

Location was great

The lock box for the keys was not clearly marked. Fly screens would be of benefit to allow for fresh air without insects entering. The sitting area outside the front door was dirty so I didn't use it. I wasn't able to start the washing machine so some instructions would be useful. Ceiling fans are good but Airconditioning would be great

The property is spacious, well equipped and a great location close to Manly beach.

On arrival I had the following issues: - Awful musty smell - Most of the windows are jammed shut and won’t open. The ones that do only open an inch or two. - The place was not properly cleaned, there were dead bugs and cockroaches about the place, dirt and dust on surfaces, rubbish thrown in corners, stains on the bed sheets and dirty marks on the throw cushions which clearly need to be washed. - There was a pillow missing from the bed which made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Overall it could do with some updating and would benefit from air conditioning being added, but it’s a great space and location. I contacted the management company re the above issues - annoyingly they have 3 mediums - they responded via booking.com telling me to send photos via their online portal, then later told me to email them! I was advised someone from housekeeping would call round with the additional pillow and to rectify issues. I chased them up on this twice but no-one came during my 5 night stay. They then wanted 100 dollars for me to check-out an hour or two late, despite the above issues and no-one was checking in that day! (Checkout is 10am). Eventually they agreed to waive this fee but there is a total lack of communication between different team members, so I kept getting told different things and there was a lot of back and forth. Such a shame as the place overall is great, the owners clearly care about their guests as they’ve left a lovely guide to the area. They just need to hire a different booking management agency and housekeeping service.
