Luana Waikiki Hotel

The location was great. Close to the beach, within walking distance to restaurants and shopping center.

Would have liked it if they had more outdoor grills to use.

L’attente ascenseur

The property itself is located right at the mouth of both main strips in Waikiki lined with stores, restaurants, other hotels and beach access points. Couldn’t have asked for anything more convenient. There was 24hr Valet parking at the property and the Biki station across the street where you could rent bicycles for 24hr at a time or more for only $20. The pool area is well maintained and beautiful day or night. There are fresh water stations with cut fruit throughout the property. The room itself was comfortably decorated and furnished. Generously stocked with kitchen supplies, basic toiletries and beach chairs, etc to take out for the day. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. The room is on the 9th floor with a balcony providing a greater view than I could have imagined for a fraction of the cost it would have been directly through the hotel.

The balcony had very uncomfortable chairs I couldn’t actually sitting out there unless I brought a beach chair outside. The TV is outdated and doesn’t connect to any of the smart apps like Netflix, etc. The remote/processing was so delayed I just ended up not trying. The bathroom especially and the lighting in general throughout the room is very dim. In terms of having to put makeup on before sunrise, it’s not going to be pretty. Otherwise I had to take my makeup bag to the window where there was a mirror and apply it there.
