Perfect rustic cabana with ocean view. ..

Peaceful bungalow on this beautiful island. The outdoor bathrooms were very cool and made for a fun camping experience! (There is an indoor one too) The beach access was a nice addition. We had crab curry for dinner that was delicious! You can see many stars at night. It was nice being up high with a good breeze and a tiny balcony to see the ocean. We loved the walk from the port (about 45min walk) but you can also get a tuktuk. There’s also bikes to use to go into town.

Cony is the kindest host and works so hard to make this place an absolutely idyllic stay. And it really is. He also gives great tours around the island in a Tuk Tuk to show the wild horses, huge baobab tree (honestly sooo worth a visit, I still can‘t believe just how big it was!) and lots of other places. He’s not only a great guide but also great to just chat to about anything. His mum cooks amazing dinner and breakfast if you want. The food was delicious! The huts are so comfortable- you get a breeze come in at all times from the sea so you have no reason to worry that you‘d be too hot. The mattress is super comfy and there‘s a mosquito net in case you need it (I didn’t actually see any mosquitoes so not sure it is needed but I did use it anyway). I love love love the outdoor bathroom. But there is also a modern indoor one which I used at nighttime. Cony‘s plans for this place are lovely - he‘s working tirelessly to keep adding to it and he can be so proud of what he has achieved. I have to say I feel incredibly thankful for having experienced as it is now - I just love the simplicity but comfort he has created. I planned to stay one night but stayed three. I saw some other reviews that stated the same so I think it‘s a theme! So if you aren’t in a rush I recommend you give yourself room to extend your stay as you will regret not being able to stay longer. It‘s not for people who want luxury but for the type of traveller who wants to experience something real. Btw the shower water is fresh and not salty - which is a real treat if you know that every other place on the island only has salty water to shower.
