About this house rental
Altipertoli is a villa of exceptional quality and character, ideal for a holiday with family and friends, offering endless possibilities of activities: in the private garden, by the pool, in the various indoor living areas, or in one of the many stunning nearby sites.
This historic home was restored with a distinctive touch by Maria Cristina Finucci, a renowned artist and architect.
Its location is ideal: situated in the heart of Tuscany, close to Florence, Prato, San Gimignano, and Siena, and about an hour from Pisa, Pistoia, Lucca, and Arezzo, as well as the beaches of Tirrenia or Versilia and the mountains of Abetone.
Perched on a hilltop, the site has been inhabited since ancient times thanks to its 360 degree views, natural perennial water wells and the afternoon sea breeze that cools summer evenings, perfect for enjoying magnificent sunsets.
Since the 14th century, the house has belonged to prominent Florentine families, including the Strozzi and Cavalcanti. Maria Cristina Finucci has enhanced the original architectural features while adding high-end contemporary comforts, such as en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, a thermo-fireplace, a BBQ fireplace in the main kitchen, and an infinity pool with a safety cover.
The restoration project was featured in the architecture and lifestyle magazine *Ville & Casali*.
The villa accommodates 8–9 adults plus two children in four bedrooms.
The villa’s layout is as follows: a living room with a large fireplace, a dining room, a spacious kitchen with a BBQ oven, a queen bedroom with a private bathroom and terrace, a king bedroom with a private bathroom and whirlpool tub, a family suite with a private bathroom comprising two rooms (one queen and one with two/three single beds or a queen bed). Two of the bedrooms can accommodate cribs for babies. All bedrooms feature independent air conditioning. Outdoor areas: a garden set among olive and fruit trees, two pergolas offering various options for dining and relaxation, and a 12x5m infinity pool with variable depth and a safety cover.
The villa is ideally situated to explore Tuscany’s art and culture and to savor the flavors of its renowed cuisine and wines: a special setting for a holiday rich in experiences.
