Very nice had a great time pet friendly. We even took or fur baby to breakfast at there restaurant. We sat outside on there deck overlooking the mountains.

This was our second stay at Lydia Mountain Lodge and we're already considering returning again :)
We're planning on trying every time a different room because we just can't get enough of the attention to detail for the lovely decor.
We also love that all the rooms of the lodge have the view of the mountains and the very short distance from one of the entrances to Shenandoah NP.
The check in and check out process was quick and smooth. The only personnel we met was the staff of the restaurant during our dinner on Saturday night and everyone was extremely nice and friendly. Also Saturday was Valentine's Day, the lodge and the restaurant were all booked and the whole vibe was amazing, with people smiling and having a good time all around us.
Now, a few things that could have been better during our stay. We wished the restaurant was open in the evening on Sunday night, maybe with a few pre-made menu items; with the restaurant closing at 3pm we had to drive around after our day hike to find something to eat for dinner. We like and appreciate the convenience of having microwave and fridge in the room, but there was food left in the microwave, so room cleanliness could be improved, although we found the room overall clean.
In general these minor cons did not diminish our enthusiasm and we enjoy our stay again.
