Inveraray, home to Inveraray Castle, the ancestral seat of the Duke of Argyll, has many local amenities and attractions including traditional pubs with live music, cafés, independent stores, a supermarket, and golf course. There are several villages close-by along the coast of Loch Fyne offering shops, activities, a museum, gardens, eating places, brewery, themed activity centre and countryside walks. The small county town of Lochgilphead is approximately 24 miles away, with interesting shops, cafés, bars and a leisure centre with swimming pool.

This part of Argyll has miles of unspoilt countryside with fantastic mountains, woodland and coastal walks to enjoy. Nature lovers will be spoilt for choice with abundant wildlife to see and many nature and forestry reserves offering walking and cycling routes. For a great day out, a trip to Oban, the Gateway to the Isles, just a forty-minute drive, gives you access to supermarkets, a ferry terminal, shops, cafés, restaurants, a cinema, leisure centre and whisky distillery. For day trips, you are conveniently situated for ferries to Arran, Bute, Islay and Gigha, and to Campbeltown, Kilmartin, Glencoe and Loch Lomond.
