About this apartment rental
Hey there! Welcome to our ongoing labor of love- a cozy, artist retreat in the heart of Coyoacan. A gem with a private entrance, in a secure area with an onsite groundskeeper. Enjoy a coffee bar, speakers, picnic table, workstation, and kitchenette. The bedroom features a new full-size bed. The bathroom, small and charming, boasts volcanic rock walls and original clay tiled shower. Heads up- the ceiling's 6'3" (1.9m). Can't wait for you to experience our special piece of Coyoacan!
The space
This is our ongoing passion project - a walkout basement cozied beneath our colonial-style home in the center of Coyoacan, one of the coolest spots in town. We’re transforming this space into a retreat for friends, family, and explorers like you who want to experience our neighborhood like a local.
Step in and you'll find a spacious living room, with a comfy sofa bed, perfect for stretching out and relaxing. The picnic table? That's just our fun way of creating extra chill-out space.
In a separate room, you'll find a kitchen with seating for three, where you can cook up a simple meal or just chat over morning coffee. If you have work to do or need to study, there's a dedicated desk just for that. We also have high speed internet!
The bedroom may be on the cozier side, but it's home to a comfortable full-size bed, with cotton linens and provides a peaceful space after a day of exploring the city. We always appreciate a comfortable, clean bed when we travel, so we always make sure to provide that to our guests.
And the bathroom - it's small but full of charm. All in all, it's a space filled with love, waiting to be part of your Coyoacan story!
Guest access
Feel at home because, well, it is your home during your stay! You get to roam the entire space, undisturbed. Whether it's making a midnight snack in the kitchen or having a morning stretch in the living area, it's all yours.
One thing to remember though - while we love a good gathering, we kindly ask that you keep your noise level low at 11pm and that your group is only the guests mentioned in your reservation, unless you've had a chat with us beforehand. We're all about keeping the place cozy and respecting the peace of our community. Enjoy your stay!
Other things to note
Just a heads-up, the ceiling height is 6'3" (1.9m), so while we welcome all guests, those over 6ft might find it a bit cozy. It's a small quirk of our unique space. Also, this space is part of a work-in-progress artist retreat, so you'll get to witness its transformation during your stay.
