If walking is not your thing, there are bike and golf cart rentals located on the seawall that can be parked in the private garage of the home. This VRBO was furnished better than anyone I have ever stayed in. Top notch! The beds were so comfortable, which is never expected. The communication was equally impressive. Thanks for everything.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a good family time with lots of cooking on the Thanksgiving holiday. We has a couple of minor questions about the house, and the host was very responsive and easy to deal with. The beach was just a short walk and Moody Gardens and the Pleasure Pier were very close. The neighborhood was very pleasant and very walkable. There were only two drawbacks. One was the 10am check-out time with $100 fee for 15 minutes past 10:00, which meant a bit of a rush to wake up, pack up and leave. The second was that the loft bedroom has no bath access except by a very narrow and steep spiral staircase, with very low head clearance. The VRBO descriptions of properties in general do not tell which bedrooms have which baths. We have a person who needs an accessible bath, and it’s hard to tell if there is a suitable bedroom/bath combination available. This house did happen to have two accessible baths and one of the attached bedrooms had one low, king bed, making it perfect for our family member. In spite of the onerous contract, the spiral stair, and VRBO’s general lack of adequate descriptions, our stay there was a smashing success.
