The Space:
Designed for a comfortable stay for two, this modern self-contained studio combines contemporary interiors with beautiful views across the Derwent River.
The bright open-plan living area features comfortable seating, a large Smart TV and reverse-cycle heating and cooling, making it a relaxing space in every season. Large windows bring in plenty of natural light and showcase the surrounding river outlook.
The modern kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals at home, with an oven, cooktop, microwave, refrigerator and coffee machine. A dining table provides the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, dinner or a glass of wine while taking in the view.
The separate bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with quality linen and built-in wardrobes.
Directly off the bedroom is the spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, vanity and toilet. For added convenience, the bathroom also incorporates laundry facilities with a washer/dryer and laundry sink.
Outside, the deck wraps around the studio and provides another opportunity to enjoy the elevated outlook across the Derwent River and surrounding hills.
Reverse-cycle air conditioning provides heating in winter and cooling during the warmer months, while dual roller blinds offer additional privacy and light control.

The studio is located behind the main house, entry to the studio is through main house driveway. There is no off-street parking, there is free on street parking.
The Neighborhood:
Located in sought-after Sandy Bay, the studio offers a peaceful residential setting while keeping you close to many of Hobart’s best attractions, restaurants and waterfront areas.
Just a short drive from the property, guests can enjoy Wrest Point, the Sandy Bay shopping precinct and the University of Tasmania. Hobart CBD, Salamanca Place and the historic waterfront are also approximately 5–10 minutes away by car.
Sandy Bay itself has plenty to explore. Head down to Long Beach and Nutgrove Beach for a waterfront walk, enjoy the parks and foreshore, or follow the coastal areas around towards Battery Point. The suburb has an excellent selection of cafés, restaurants, bakeries and takeaway options, along with supermarkets and everyday conveniences.
The location also makes a great base for exploring greater Hobart. Battery Point, Salamanca Market, Constitution Dock, MONA ferry terminal and the Hobart waterfront are all within easy reach, while kunanyi / Mount Wellington makes a fantastic half-day trip for spectacular views over Hobart and southern Tasmania.
Guests travelling further afield can easily head south towards Kingston, Bruny Island and the Huon Valley, or cross the Tasman Bridge to explore Bellerive, Richmond and the Coal River Valley wine region.

Beautiful place to stay for our 12 days in Sandy Bay/Hobart area. Lovely views across the river to enjoy our morning coffee. Really nice area and was very quiet so peaceful nights sleep. Could see bridge area from out front of the building so was great to watch the New Year fireworks from a quiet street as near end of cul-de-sac so no traffic. Had to park in street but that was not an issue as always found a park in residential street out front. Had everything we needed for a great stay, only thing missing for us would be a little coffee machine but got around this by taking our little Wacaco travel espresso maker so all good and they did supply instant coffee and tea bags aling with some other items which was nice. Would highly recommend this lovely little unit as close to everything in Hobart and surrounds if have a car but if not there is a bus down the hill that runs to town regularly plus some great walking to and around Sandy Bay Area if up to it. You do have to walk down two lots of outside stairs past main house to get to unit down back but we were ok with it and we are elderly just had to be extra careful after some rain. Communication was excellent as far as directions to property and obtaining key in lock box with code and welcome message plus information package inside and a lovely little welcome gift which was much appreciated. Thank you to all for a lovely stay we would definitely stay at View Studio Apartment Sandy Bay again if it was available.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views overlooking the Derwent and Sandy Bay. Very modern inside and excellent communication by the owners. Would highly recommend.
