Cabaña luxury frente al mar en Mendihuaca Tayrona

We loved our stay at this beach front cabin in Mendihuaca! It was easy to find and parking was ample and a breeze. The cabin is immaculate and the coastal-boho decor and ambiance are perfect. The beds, pillows, and bedding were all very clean and comfortable. We loved the indoor/outdoor hammocks and swings. My family of 5 fit comfortably with room to spare. The cabin is literally on the sand, within steps of the ocean. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the crashing waves was intoxicating. Both the top and second stories have accordion style shutters that open up to the fresh air and sunshine. The ease of popping in and out of our cabin as we spent the day in the sun, sand, and surf was great. My children especially loved being so close to the mouth of the Mendihuaca River. The fresh water is cold and a nice change from the bath water temperatures of the tropical ocean. They loved riding the current from the river into the rapids created as it interested with the ocean. The restaurants dotted up and down the cove were great! We REALLY liked the pizza place. The ONLY downside to this cabin/beach was the no-see-ums/sand fleas, and mosquitos. Bring PLENTY of insect repellent and wear it around the clock. We left relatively unscathed with only a handful of bites each, but saw people that were literally covered head-to-toe in bug bites. However, that is the trade off if you want the privacy and uniqueness/specialness of being in a remote beach without tons of tourists.
