A gem in Exeter, amazing location. A 2 minute walk from Exeter Central Train station and a few minutes walk into the centre of town. This Stylish hideaway is convient, quirky, excellent value for money and the host Ish was so helpful and excellent communication from the moment I booked. Will definitely be staying here on my next visit to Exeter. Highly recommend.

Great central location, lovely room and coffee machine and cookies were thoughtful touches. I travelled alone and this was perfect for me, may have been a bit small for two of us.
My only small quibbles would be that "free toiletries" was just hand soap and manly shower gel - I was travelling super light and hadn't packed shampoo etc after seeing this listed. And the bed frame needs a really good dust underneath. Neither would stop me booking again,

The space is old and has a beautiful oak parquet floor and some nice furnishings. However, this is all rather let down by deliberately kitch decor (black panther beadspread for example) and a massive TV screen which dominates one wall and is difficult to view from any vantage point.
I'm sure I'm not the only guest who's consulted a dictionary afterwards to check on the distinction between an apartment and an en suite room. I'd be inclined to ascribe the latter.
It's more typical of an airbnb than the sort of accommodation you'd usually find on booking.com.
Being phoned while I was working and asked to leave before 9:00am the following morning so the owner could go for a bike ride with his friends. I'd been working exceedingly hard at a trade fair all weekend and had booked a long way in advance. Being asked to leave early was unreasonable and unprofessional.
I also wasn't impressed by the dodgy electrics, or the screws sticking out of the woodwork on the outside of the bed. If 'shabby chic' is the object here it acheives the shabbiness without the chic.
